First post y'all :)

        Hey, yo, you there! Dude, I don’t know how you stumbled across this, but regardless: Welcome to my blog! To make a long story short, I figured I should make a way to communicate what’s going on in my life to whomever (which obviously is everyone) is interested.

As you might know, my name is Georg Cantor, and for a while now I’ve been chillin’ in this place that has a dope name… get this... it’s called a sanatorium. Fancy, eh? They say I’m crazy, but I think rather all of them are! I suppose there might be some good reasons considering some of my later years' depression from accusatory papers against me, attempts to disprove some of my work, on top of some family tragedies like when my youngest son died kept me in the dumps for a long time. So maybe they aren't completely crazy, and I think it has been relatively useful at times. It’s a little empty, but not too bad since I have plenty to think about. 

Speaking of which, I’ve been working on some recent things, which is basically the whole point of making this blog - I gotta keep my peeps updated ya know?

Now, to start, in case you don’t know some of my background, I’ll start there, then move up and go through some of my *brilliant* mathematical discoveries, up to more recent life updates and what I’m working on now, like I said.

Right, so here is a decent picture of myself: (on the right)

Although I am German, I was born in St. Petersburg, Russia on March 3, 1845 and raised there for 11 years by my Danish parents. Afterward, we (my family) moved to Germany. My dad really wanted me to be an engineer, but all that applied crap isn’t fun, I’m more of a pure math and philosophy guy, and kept with mathematics, which many have considered a strong talent of mine since I was about 15. I was made a full professor at the University of Halle when I was 34 (‘cause I’m just so great).

Another big part of who I am is that I’m a very religious Christian - something that is not uncommon for living in Europe, even when it was still the 19th century. However, some of my awesome mathematical advances and discoveries seemed too taboo for some, contradictory to others, and so on. Basically, this resulted in my fan-base diminishing, but also is a huge part of what I have been able to produce for the world.

I suppose now it is fitting that I talk about what all I did and discovered with all my research and work, so I’ll get to that in my next post, so be sure to check back soon!
